Scones jam and clotted cream, bread and butter pudding, and fish pie
Simple yet so effective.
Here are some examples of British food thats so easy to make along with tasting delicious.
Fish pie is just salmon, or white fish with mashed Potatoe and a nice butter sauce. You can add parsley sauce and grill some cheese on top if you wish and its usually served with green peas.
Bread and butter pudding dates back to the 17th century when the working and middle class could afford such basic ingredients like bread, egg, milk and sugar. It was perfect to bake a nice sweet pudding. If one wishes you can add a little extra flavour to it, like nutmeg, cinnamon or even chocolate.
Scones, jam and cream is fantastic for the summer and to sit outside in the countryside with a fine cup of tea. Once again easy to make from basic ingredients and tastes scrumptiously delicious, it typifies great British food.

Steak and kidney pie, fish and chips and roast beef dinner
Steak and Kidney Pie. diced beef with lamb or pigs kidneys, with a gravy sauce covered in crispy pastry. Dont knock it until you've tried it, one of the best pies around.
Fish and chips. What I like best about fish and chips is eating them off the paper and using your fingers. Sometimes foods better when you pick it up, who needs a fork. Cover your chips in salt and vinegar and your in heaven. Add tarter sauce or gravy if you wish.
Roast beef dinner. One of the most popular English dishes usually eaten on a Sunday. A well cooked piece of beef served with steamed vegetables, potatoes, roasted parsnips and Yorkshire pudding with gravy poured over will make your Sunday twice as good. Sometimes instead of beef, you can eat roasted pork with apple sauce, lamb with mint sauce, roast chicken with bacon rolls and turkey on christmas day with cranberry sauce. Cracking!

Beef stew, yorkshire pudding and apple crumble
Beef Stew. A kind of filling soup its great for those cold winter days and one of the easiest dishes you can make. Tender beef bolied on a slow simmer accompanied with vegetables and beef stock. A thick sauce is better and I highly recommend dipping in crusty bread.
Yorkshire pudding. Yes its called a pudding but its not sweet, in fact its a little salty and usually served with roast beef dinners. It dates back to the 17th century from the north of England. A batter mix made from flour, eggs butter and milk and rises in the oven to make cup shaped crispy puddings.
Apple crumble. A warm dessert baked in the oven. Its important to bake the pastry so its crispy on top as this will compliment the apples and its usually served with custard.

English breakfast, shepherds pie and tea and biscuits
Full English breakfast. Ok this one is not the healthiest meal but once in a while treat yourself to some eggs, baked beans, sausage, tomatoe, mushrooms, bacon, black pudding and toast. You wont regret it.
Shepherds pie. Also known as cottage pie is just minced lamb in beef stock, onion and chopped tomatoe sauce with mashed Potatoe on top. Bake in the oven so the Potatoe is crispy on top.
Tea and biscuits. How could I forget a simple morning, afternoon or evening snack break. Dip some digestive biscuits into hot tea and put your feet up. What better way to relax.
